10QuestionsGraphicIt’s been too long since we’ve had a 10 Questions profile, but it’s not for a lack of trying, we’re just waiting on a few drivers to get back to us. One of those drivers asked me why we never bothered to ask one of the driver’s wives. After I gave him a blank stare like a dog that has just been shown a card trick, I thought, “well damn, that’s not a bad idea at all.” But I struggled for what to ask, other than, “is your husband quick off the track too, if you smell what the Rock is cooking.” But thankfully our first driver’s wife to step up to the plate came prepared with some of her own vastly superior questions.

So without further ado, we present one of the funniest profiles yet, the one and only Katrina “Wife of Shane” Butler!

1. So how did it come to pass that you fell in love with sprint cars, and to a lesser degree, your husband? When I met Shane I knew NOTHING about Sprint Cars. I believe the actual saying was S-P-R-I-N-T Caaaarrrrrsss WTF?!?  Jeanette Burnett had the bright idea of setting me and Shane up…so we went on a date, and went to a club, but it was the first time seeing him at the track that got me hooked. I know… sappy right? Now I try to make it by watching as much as possible and asking Shane some really stupid questions and get a little excited when I know the answer to a question on my own!

2. We need to know the dark, dirty, secret name that you call your husband…(We cannot promise that we will not publish said name.. or use it against them for nickname purposes on the website.) Sweetness, BabyCakes, My Baby’s Daddy, ummmmmm give me a minute I can come up with another one…

3. Besides your husband, who would you cheer for during the race? Why? Steve Heisler… because that is what the voices in my head tell me…

4. When you go out for a “ladies night out” do you often find you and your friends saying, “why is Josh always here? Did you invite him? I didn’t.” Ladies night out??? That is a new language to me! If you are not aware, we have a 13 month old boy at home. I don’t remember what girls nights are any more. If I did go out, Josh would be a great accessory…car boy, drink boy, chair boy, purse boy…ummmm I guess I can’t ask him to carry me to the potty when my cute shoes are screaming at me at the end of the night…. Nonetheless, he would be very useful! (Editorial note – sounds like what Josh does most Friday nights!)
