Our Driver – Ryan Partin

After much legal wrangling and uncomfortable blank stares, the management team at FloridaSprintCarFans.com is pleased to announce that it has reached an exclusive agreement to throw all of its marketing and public relations might behind a Florida-based sprint car driver that best embodies the spirit of FloridaSprintCarFans.com.

HeathrowAirport“Today is a blessed day,” said Webmaster and Site Author Todd Michaels. “We originally had planned on holding our press conference in Heathrow, like so many great press conferences in the past with many drivers with the letters FIA in their driving history, but unfortunately we had a bit of a misunderstanding with our travel agent, possibly Flavio Briatore, and to a lesser extent – our driver.”

Until today, FloridaSprintCarFans.com was not at liberty to disclose its driver by name due to legal unpleasantness. “I really thought we had paid our bills at our lawfirm – Bob Loblaw & Associates,” commented Editor at Speed Brian Penrose. “Turns out we hadn’t really paid any of them at all, so they weren’t really interested in helping us. I offered to ‘work off the debt’ with the receptionist if you know what I mean, but I think she misinterpreted my intent. The least they could have done was open the door before they threw me out of it. That’s just rude.”

Without a good solid Plan B in place, the next best thing was decided – to hold the press conference in Heathrow, Florida, out by the Seminole Town Center Mall in Sanford.

Unfortunately no local press were free to attend this “event” and FSCF.com Ombudsman Josh Wichers was stuck in Leesburg, so this event was a three man tour de force, between Mr. Penrose, Todd and the new FloridaSprintCarFans.com sprint car driver – Flyin’ Ryan Partin!

“It is with great shame, no wait – pride, I meant pride, don’t print that…that I team up with FloridaSprintCarFans.com today,” said Partin. “When Todd said we were going to Heathrow to announce this, I thought ‘cool, maybe this is like the Virgin sponsorship deal with Brawn GP’ or something. But I guess Todd found out how much it costs to fly to London on Virgin Air, so here we are…in Sanford…in a parking lot…regardless, I look forward to working with these guys and running the FloridaSprintCarFans.com decals on my sprint car this year.”

FlyinRyanSponsorshipWhen Brian Penrose asked Todd about the details of this sponsorship and how much it would ultimately cost, he was quickly met with an elbow to the ribs and asked to “pipe down” and to “stop embarrassing me.”

“I would like to just say for the record, we appreciate a driver of Ryan’s caliber wanting to work with us,” continued Todd. “He drives on dirt, pavement, wing, no wing, whatever – he doesn’t care. We like that. And he’s got those FIA letters in his background. What’s not to like? When we found out he likes Yuengling and lives in Central Florida, the deal was done.”

HootersWingsWhen Flyin’ Ryan inquired about his first payment for the Top Gun Sprint Series race at Volusia Speedway Park, Todd simply pointed at the Hooters adjacent the mall and said, “I owe you one, wait until I get paid.”

So the next time you see Flyin’ Ryan Partin competing at a track near you, don’t hold it against him that he’s in cahoots with us and running our decals. Just give him an extra big cheer.
