About Todd

Todd and Greg Hodnett at Volusia. Probably my favorite driver and car combination of all time. Simply lethal.
A Pennsylvania Posse fan through and through, Todd is the Webmaster and Site Author of the website on which you cast your loving gaze. Sometimes seen in the pits at TBARA or TGSS races, Todd lives for open wheel racing…and to a lesser degree, Orange Crush soda. If you suffer from insomnia, Todd can bore you into a deep sleep with endless F1 trivia from the 90s, which he considers to be the golden years of backmarkers.
NAME: Todd Michaels
AGE: Unknown
HEIGHT: Unknown
WEIGHT: Unknown
FAVORITE WoO DRIVER: Does Terry McCarl still count?
FAVORITE FLORIDA DRIVER: Dave Steele is god. Ryan Partin is a close second. That Steve Heisler guy is alright too.
FAVORITE REUTIMANN: Wayne Sr.
FAVORITE BALDWIN BROTHER: Billy
FAVORITE MAGAZINE: Sprint Car & Midget Magazine
FAVORITE TV SHOW: Does coverage of F1 races count? I really only have satellite to watch F1 in HD.
FIRST SPRINT CAR EXPERIENCE: Somewhere I have a picture of me sitting in Scats Anfuso’s Highway Auto Body #3 sprint car when I was about 2 years old.
HOW I GOT INVOLVED IN SPRINT CAR RACING: My father worked on Scats Anfuso’s car when I was a toddler (get it?) round about the time John Draucker was the driver. My dad was also best friends with Charlie Svetec, who drove the red and white #38 in the URC circles. But my first time working on a sprint car as an adult was with Wendy Mathis Racing. Oddly enough what I learned about super late models during college came in handy.
FAVORITE FLORIDA SPRINT CAR SERIES: Top Gun Sprint Series and TBARA.
FAVORITE QUOTE: Wherever you go, there you are.
ANYTHING ELSE WE SHOULD KNOW? I’m a homebrewer. Quite a few drivers have had my special holiday ale, which seems to get stronger with each passing year. Parenthood has slowed down my brewing somewhat, but I can still whip up a mean hoppy ale when time allows. As Ben Franklin once said, “beer is living proof that god loves us and wants us to be happy.”
