Mark Ruel Jr. is your current Top Gun Sprint Series points leader.

This weekend’s sprint car action actually gets under way Friday night up in Georgia as the Florida Mini Sprints Association travels across the border to Oglethorpe Speedway Park and then Saturday night the boys and Rhea Lynn move on over to 441 Speedway in Dublin (say it with an Irish accent) Georgia. The points battle continues to heat up between Eddie Moss Jr. and Gavin Thomas with Dirk Miller holding station and the aforementioned Rhea Lynn Moss sitting pretty in fourth. Get it? Sitting pretty?

For once it looks like we’re in good shape weather wise for the Top Gun Sprint Series as they return once again to Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala. Mark Ruel Jr. continues his breakout season as the points leader, looking to once again visit victory lane. Sitting just behind him in the points is “The Jacksonville Jet” Matt Kurtz who is chomping at the bit to get back into victory lane. And just behind the two of them is our Factory Driver Flyin’ Ryan Partin in third, who recently tweeted “in the immortal words of Muhammad Ali – I’m too pretty not to be champ!” so you know our Factory Driver wants a w very badly this weekend.

Throw in the other cast of characters like Mean Gene Lasker, Andrew Griffin, Capt. Tony Agin, AJ Maddox, Rich Alexander, Robbie Smith, Shawn Murray, the Family Grubaugh, Terry Witherspoon, Brandon Lineberger and more and you’re in for a fine night of sprint car racing. We highly recommend consumption of the hot dog with the buffalo chicken/cheese sauce on it. It is life changing.
