This weekend’s sprint car race – 07.21.12.
This weekend’s lone sprint car event will be taking place at East Bay Raceway Park and it is a combination Top Gun Sprint Series/East Bay Sprints event.
The Top Gun championship fight is shaping up to be a humdinger with “The Peruvian Outlaw” Mark Ruel Jr. at the top of the heap with “The Jacksonville Jet” Matt Kurtz in hot pursuit. Now of course the big news is that our Factory Driver Flyin’ Ryan Partin has lifted his self-imposed ban on racing at East Bay this year and will be in action to stay in the thick of the championshp fight as he currently lies third in points.
In theory this should be a nice car count with both classes competing for points so since we know you’ve got nothing better to do this weekend, you really should go to East Bay as this first non-BRP event may shake things up a tad in the points battle. Also in theory, you should see last names like Allen, Darvalics, Griffin, Agin, Tyler, Gilbert, Lasker, Boyd, Maddox and Cabre in the mix.
If everyone keeps a cool head it should be a night of good racing.. But if not WRECK FEST 2012 !!! Be a great night for Steele Performance and Manikis Performance..
