Mother Nature, Tyler Ross, Mark Ruel Jr. pick up wins Friday night.

By

"The Lowrider" Dale Blaney blistered Volusia Speedway Park to set quick time Friday night.

Sadly the festivities at Volusia Speedway Park got rained out, but your website staff had a boatload of fun regardless. See below.

Up at Bubba Raceway Park the FMSA was in action once again and Tyler Ross picked up the win over Eddie Moss Jr., Gavin Thomas, Jesse Teed and Andy Detton.

Down the street at Marion County Speedway, the wingless mini sprints were in action and “The Peruvian Outlaw” Mark Ruel Jr. picked up the win over Daniel Nadau, Don Harvey, Drew Dorsett and Austin Archdale.

Random World of Outlaws Notes:

  • “The Lowrider” Dale Blaney was blisteringly fast and set quick time for the night.
  • Other drivers that were fast in qualifying were Joey Saldana, Brian Ellenberger, Brad Sweet, Danny Lasoski, Darryn Pittman, Jason Meyers, the Kinsers and Sammy Swindell.
  • It was good to see Brian Paulus back in action and he might have the smallest trailer to ever tow a 410 down for the Outlaws show.
  • The rain afforded me the opportunity to speak with the one and only Terry McCarl and get him to sign my TMac shirt I was wearing. Score!
  • Fred Rahmer looked better last night and had his son hard at work on the car.
  • Aaron Ott was in the Hamilton Motorsports #77, a legendary ride if there ever was one.
  • Bronson Maeschen has some hysterical crew members, this much we know.
  • Red Stauffer was walking around the pits and looking well.
  • We bumped into Danny “The Hammer” Martin Jr. who has a new J&J chassis he’s prepping.
  • Team Florida looked good with “Dale’s Brother” Dave Blaney at the controls.
  • The make-up date is Sunday afternoon at 12:30.
  • We can vouch for the seafood shack pitside for food. Not cheap, but well worth it.
