This weekend’s sprint car races, starting tonight.

If you missed our Factory Driver Flyin' Ryan Partin on The Weather Channel this morning, all systems are go for sprint car racing tonight at Volusia Speedway Park.

The hurricane is safely past us, so it’s full steam ahead for some sprint car racing tonight at Volusia Speedway Park!

Tonight is the Bob Long Memorial at VSP and if you’re not familiar with Bob Long he was a long time sprint car owner and you may also be familiar with his grandson and current sprint car campaigner DJ Peeples.

Our Factory Driver/Meteorologist Flyin’ Ryan Partin is looking to be back in action tonight. The repaired motor is being loaded into the Flyin’ 14 as we speak, so if all goes well look for Ryan to scorch the earth once again at VSP.

Expect a good field of cars as the memorial races at VSP tend to draw well and we think quite a few dirt sprint car drivers are chomping at the bit to get back behind the wheel given the recent rainouts and such. Danny “The Hammer” Martin Jr. will be a favorite to win and Mark Ruel Jr. has been keeping “The Hammer” honest. Don’t count out Matt Tiffany either as he knows how to blister VSP as well.

So while all of those other tracks that canceled way in advance, some even as far away from the projected path as one could get, why not go out and support Volusia Speedway Park and Ocala Micro Speedway for laughing in the face of catastrophic weather and bringing you some honest to goodness mud slinging dirt sprint car racing.
